Event Description:
This event is free and open to children 15 and under and must be accompanied by an adult. The rodeo will be held at Foster Park Lake. Customarily this event hosts hundreds of participants and their families, competing for one of many prizes, such as fishing rods, tackle boxes, and the coveted lifetime fishing license. The intended purpose of this event is to encourage healthy hobbies, build confidence in our youth and promote good sportsmanship all while surrounding families with the positivity of law enforcement. It continues to be a great way to bring the community together. In preparation for the event the City of Union stocks the 6 acre pond with a significant amount of tagged fish. There are many opportunities for children to win one of the donated prizes by catching a tagged fish or winning one the many door prizes. Lunch will be prepared and served by the City of Union Public Safety Department.
