As described on their website (https://freshcheckday.com/),  Fresh Check Day, the signature program of the Jordan Porco Foundation, is an uplifting mental health promotion and suicide prevention event that includes interactive expo booths, peer-to-peer messaging, support of multiple campus departments and groups, a lively social atmosphere with free food and entertainment, and exciting prizes and giveaways. Fresh Check Day aims to create an approachable and hopeful atmosphere where students are encouraged to engage in dialogue about mental health and to build a bridge between students and the mental health resources available on campus, in the community, and nationally.
 
We will have seven booths setup at this event, each dealing with a unique issue related to mental health and suicide prevention. As this event is meant to be for students by students, each booth will be organized and run by student volunteers, with the help of faculty and staff. There will be fun, creative, and interactive activities at each booth, with important messages and resources provided. Students who choose to attend the event will be required to visit and participate in at least 5 of the 7 booths in order to earn a ticket for a free lunch. There will be music and exciting prizes given out that day, with a grand prize raffle giveaway of an Amazon Echo Dot!
